Devcore is led by its founder and serial entrepreneur Jean-Pierre Poulin (also known as JP), who has overseen the company’s tremendous growth from day one. JP is committed to delivering high-quality, technologically advanced buildings while adhering to timelines and budgets.

At 18, Jean-Pierre became the youngest store manager at Peoples, Ontario Street in Montreal. Three years later, the young Jean-Pierre requested a transfer to another store, but in an English-speaking community, to learn English. He was then transferred to Kapuskasing, a small bilingual town in Northern Ontario. Along with this transfer came a $19,000 salary increase per year! It was 1987. Jean-Pierre found a small basement where the owner was unilingual… Polish. Living the high life! After six months of working under these conditions, he was transferred even further north to Hearst, where at the age of 19, he found himself in charge of around fifty employees. By 20, he was managing two stores – Kapuskasing and Hearst, with 100 employees under his direction. A few years later, JP joined the Tigre Géant chain as a franchisee, where he successfully managed three stores in the Ottawa region.
